Class definitions

Beginning studies: Designed for the first time student. Pastel, charcoal, watercolor, and tempera paint will be explored as a group step by step. One art history canvas will be painted per school year. This class is also great for returning students needing a little more help. $75.00 per month

 

Mixed Media Regular studies: Designed for a returning student still needing some step by step guidance but with more freedom to choose subject and color. More Canvas painting will be added and our yearly art history canvas. $85.00 per month

 

Mixed Media Intermediate / Advanced. This class will be using the same mediums as the other classes. Students will still have group assignments as well as our yearly art history canvas. They will also do a free choice canvas and plaster sculpture. $85.00 per month

 

Canvas Painting, This class is for students ONLY interested in painting on canvas. Students may have fewer take home pieces because these works can take up to 5 classes each... Some canvases will be assigned subjects in Realism. Cubism, Impressionism, and abstract styles. Various size canvases will be used through out the year. Sculpture is also included. $85.00 per month LIMITED TO 10 STUDENTS PER CLASS

*I also offer an independent student program for young artist wanting more than

I class per week . Fell free to ask about it.

 

 

All classes meet once a week for 1 ½ hours. Tuition is due in full by the 5th of the month. If a student misses a class, it can be made up in posted open studio Saturdays or during other class time where space is available.  

A Paper/ Canvas supply fee due twice a year for all students.August $30.00 and January $30.00.

Please have your student bring in a new sketch book labeled with their name and class.

The studio also offers specialty classes on Saturdays, and Holiday workshops. Now that we have our studio VAN, we will also have field trips to out door painting sites and art museums. Be sure to look for posted events on the FRONT DOOR.
